The Pareto Principle in the Functions Approximating Processing the Results of Psychological and Sociological Research

The possibilities of approximating functions in the processing of large data arrays of the results of psychological and sociological research are analyzed. An approach to the processing of areas limited by approximating functions is substantiated in accordance with the Pareto principle. Threshold values are obtained that ensure the division of areas in the ratio 1/4 for the most frequently used for approximating the results of studies of approximating functions. The conformity of the law of distribution of histograms of scientific achievements of scientists, approximating them with curves, according to Pearson's goodness-of-fit criterion is checked.
Keywords: approximating functions, processing of research results, Pareto principle, random variable, probability density, scientific potential of universities
